The Fur-Bearers is pursuing legislation to create a Fur Labelling Act – a policy that would require all fur in Canada to be labelled with the common name of the animal and country of origin of the fur. This will ensure compassionate Canadians like you can make informed choices, and go fur-free without fear of unintentionally purchasing real fur products.
But we, and the animals, need your help.
From going to visit politicians (like our meeting with Minister of Justice Jody Wilson-Raybould) to submitting Freedom of Information requests, printing brochures and pamphlets to mailing #MakeFurHistory or fur-free packages to community leaders and advocates, and even working with lawyers on government and private company policy-related issues, we need financial support.
Our Mission: To protect fur-bearing animals in the wild and in confinement through conservation, advocacy, research and education (C.A.R.E.).
Thank you for supporting our fur-free initiatives, on our quest to #MakeFurHistory with your generous gift. Please know that a dedicated, compassionate and passionate team is working tirelessly to advocate onbehalf of fur-bearing animals in the wild and in confinement, as well as promoting co-existence in communities.
