Beavers are considered pests and killed in cruel traps. But we have solutions that keep beaver families together and protect infrastructure. We're spending a few days outside of Edmonton, Alberta in September where we'll teach non-profits, municipalities, and private contractors how to design, build, and implement our beaver coexistence devices. Our costs are expected to be about $1,000 and we could really use your support!
A brief breakdown of our costs:
Flight from Vancouver - $205 (return)
Car rental for three days - $75 (approx $25 per day)
New gortex chestwaders waders - $370
Gas - $50
Hotel for two nights - $200
Food/supplies for volunteers - $100
Cost of saving beavers and protecting wetlands in Alberta? Priceless.
Please give what you can and help us save the lives of beavers by providing in-field solutions for communities.
Our Mission: To protect fur-bearing animals in the wild and in confinement through conservation, advocacy, research and education (C.A.R.E.).
